| Customer Reviews: Solidly Constructed, Serves its Purpose August 12, 2010 Thomas Hunter Blackhawk's Double Row Mag Case is solidly constructed overall. The belt clip works well and has a hook on the lower part to ensure retention on whatever it is clipped onto. The belt clip is a little loose in its connection to the case, as it can be removed so that the case can be attached to something else or the clip can be replaced. Also, the mag case belt clip is a little loose on my belt, but doesn't move too much. The mag retention spring keeps the mag in place once inserted. It would be difficult for the mag to accidentally fall out. If something caught it right, it could be pulled out; however, the force of the motion would have to be relatively straight up in order for that to happen. Basically, it should only come out if it is grabbed and pulled out.
I'd say my only true disappointment is that the case is a little larger than I expected. I suppose part of the reason for this is to ensure it can fit a wide range of mag types in both 9mm and .40S&W. This isn't a large problem, but will make it a little harder to use for concealed carry purposes. It may be possible to use the mag case inside the waistband, which I haven't attempted to test yet. I don't think this would create too much discomfort, and with the type of belt clip it should be possible. If worse comes to worse, I can always pick up another one more suited for concealed carry or go without a case or holder for a spare mag. Even if I do not use this for concealed carry, I can still use it in numerous other roles, such as at the range, hunting, fishing, camping, or other outdoor activities.
money and time saver August 11, 2010 NEDurgala (N.C. USA) I own a few handguns and all the double row mags are different thicknesses.I looked into purchasing mag cases for each one and then I saw the Blackhawk Double Row Mag Case (410600PBK) and bought one. It accomidates all my double row mags and saved me alot of money.
Mag holder. June 18, 2010 two zero (Seattle.) I am very happy with this product. It goes on and off the belt easy and can be attached to any number of tactical bags as well as tactical equipment. This mag case to date has lasted longer than other companys I have tried in the past. Would and have recommended to friends.
